The DROP necklace offers an alternative way to wear your finger rings – either because your rings do not fit your fingers anymore or because a task makes it inappropriate to wear them. Or simply for decorative reasons and an alternative way to carry your jewellery. Using Ivory wood – each piece unique by nature – as the main material, rings will rest safely, yet still exposed. Either one ring or in a composition of more rings. Goldsmith Bodil Binner co-founded the organisation ”Fairtrade Jewellers” to ensure ethical and sustainable use of precious metals, stones and pearls in the jewellery industry. She finds her primary source of inspiration in the silence and beauty of the sea. DROP is the second jewellery design made in collaboration with Lars Vejen.
「DROP」は指輪の新たな使い方を提案するネックレスです。サイズの合わなくなった指輪や、指輪をはめることの出来ない作業をする 時でも指輪を身につけることができる新しいスタイルを提案します。主な素材としてアイボリーウッドが使われており、一つ一つ異なる 表情をもっています。また、1つのリングでも、複数のリングを組み合わせてでも美しく身につけることができます。彫金師で「Fairtrade Jewellers」の共同創設者である「Goldsmith Bodil Binner」は、宝石産業における貴金属や宝石、真珠をエシカルでサスティナブルなも のとして使うことを約束します。彼女の作る作品は静かで美しい海からインスピレーションを得ています。「DROP」はLars Vejenとのコラ ボレーション企画第2弾となります。
