A tray is fascinating. While being a simple and sometimes unnoticeable everyday tool, it holds great strength in both shape and functionality. The SAIBI tray series explores how a simple transformation of a detail can change the shape and feeling of a tray. Inspired by the geometric transformation of a circle over triangle to square, the trays are detailed with the characteristics of each figure. The use, size and functionality are the same, yet the trays have very different visual expressions and thereby individual appeal and feeling.
